Macs 3500 powered MGB with Ford T-5 using MARC-I front cover, billet ALT bracket, electric water pump, block hugger headers, 65mm billet throttle body and BCC OBD-I ECM and wiring harness. This is a very fast, reliable and economical car. Looking for reliable power, Mac opted to do the 3500 swap after his modified and supercharged MG engine, that had been professionally built, started losing compression for a second time.
Mac, along with a friend, did the conversion in a couple of weeks and he drove the car from Dayton, OH to Vegas the day after it was completed. Since completion in June '08, this car has made four road trips from Dayton to Vegas. Mac keeps very accurate records and is reporting round-trip averages of 35.8 mpg. His best mileage between fill-ups on flat open road has been 41.9mpg. Very nice numbers for a performance car. Mac and I are currently discussing an intercooled turbo setup as the next step for his Killer B. Be sure to check back in as a dyno chart of the current setup will be coming soon.
